Job summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is hiring Physical Therapist Aides on a per diem basis. You will support therapists by preparing therapies, assisting patients, and handling front desk tasks while maintaining safety and high-quality care.

The role requires knowledge of anatomy, therapy equipment, and patient needs, with focus on accurate recording and compassionate communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to cover 15-20 minutes from home office with transportation responsibility.
• Knowledge of Anatomy & Kinesiology.
• Knowledge of therapy equipment used in practice.
• Knowledge of patient behavior, needs, and safety considerations.
• Knowledge of strengthening techniques and patient care.
• Knowledge of restraints and aggression management.
• Ability to complete in-service training.
• Ability to observe, evaluate and record patient conditions.
• Ability to maintain professional conduct and confidentiality.
• Ability to write brief reports and maintain records.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a scribe for recording and editing therapeutic exercises under supervision.
• Prepare heat/cold therapy and assist patients to pool and exercise equipment.
• Ensure operation of treatment equipment and arrange repairs if needed.
• Educate patients on proper use of equipment and exercises.
• Prepare patients for therapy sessions with welcoming support.
• Answer questions and reassure patients during care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and secure data.
• Keep a safe, clean work environment and follow rules.
• Deliver supplies to treatment area and position equipment and patients.
• Assist with front desk duties and scheduling as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.
