Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to join our Athens, TN team. You will perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, establish plans of care, and carry out individualized treatment plans to improve function and reduce pain.

You will supervise PT assistants and other staff, administer physical modalities, and evaluate prosthetic/orthotic needs. Tennessee licensure and BLS are required; this role supports our mission to enhance community health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Tennessee Physical Therapist license is required.
• Basic Life Support certification is required at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care aligned with patient goals and capabilities.
• Designs and executes individualized programs of physical treatment.
• Performs therapy interventions using standard PT techniques and modalities.
• Directs and supervises PT assistants, students and support personnel.
• Operates physical agents and modalities (ultrasound, etc.).
• Evaluates prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends adjustments.
• Documents goals, anticipated progress and reevaluation plans.
