Job summary

Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, TN seeks a PRN Physical Therapist to join the Rehabilitation Department. You will perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement therapy plans, and utilize standard PT techniques to restore function and reduce pain.

Supervisory duties may include assistants and students as needed. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy, a Tennessee PT license and Basic Life Support at hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Current Tennessee Physical Therapist license required.
• Basic Life Support certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care and involves the patient in decision-making.
• Plans and carries out programs of physical therapy to restore function and relieve pain.
• Administers therapy using standard PT techniques appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Directs and supervises therapy assistants and other staff as needed.
• Applies physical agents and equipment such as moist heat, UV/IR lamps, and ultrasound.
• Evaluates and fits prosthetic/orthotic devices and suggests modifications.
• Documents goals, progress, and plans for reevaluation.
