Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist to join our team. We provide 1:1 patient care and flexible scheduling to support work-life balance, with Saturday morning hours available.

You will evaluate patients, establish goals, develop treatment plans, and supervise PTAs, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. NH license and BLS are required, with 1–2 years hospital/rehab experience preferred; new grads considered.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy preferred; Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy required.
• NH Physical Therapist License required
• BLS Certification within 2 weeks of hire
• 1-2 years of experience in hospital, rehab or ambulatory setting; new grads considered

Responsibilities

• Establishes therapy goals and formulates a treatment plan based on evaluation results.
• Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.
• Provides individual, family and group therapy sessions for clients engaged in outpatient therapy.
• Participates in the interdisciplinary group for hospice patients and the case conference meetings for home health patients.
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Provides initial assessment of clinical needs using standardized tools and protocols and facilitate recommendations for treatment.
• Records all pertinent data in the patient’s medical records.
