Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Corporation is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist to assist patients in reaching maximum functional outcomes at our Boston-area site, 300 First Avenue.

The role requires a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a state license, and internship experience. You will evaluate patients, develop plans of care, document progress, and collaborate with nursing and families. Onsite work; hourly pay $38.30–$57.59.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy degree is required.
• State license as a Physical Therapist is required.
• Internship or apprenticeship completed; 1–2 years preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes billing sheet accurately by end of day.
• Evaluates effects of treatment and adjusts plans for maximum benefit.
• Performs patient assessments and establishes a plan of care.
• Provides in-service education for nursing personnel as needed.
• Identifies goals and plans for reevaluation and communicates with patient and family.
• Participates in hospital-wide quality process improvement.
• Supervises PTAs according to policy and state regulations.

Summary

Assist patients in reaching maximum physical performance while adjusting to disabilities.

Restores Patient Physical Functioning by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment goals and plans; administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities and in using assistant and supportive devices.

Essential Functions

• Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
• Performs patient assessment and establishes a plan of care.
• Provides in service education programs for nursing personnel as needed.
• Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
• Discusses evaluation, goals and treatment with both patient and family.
• Participates in Hospital-wide quality process improvement.
• Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
• Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.
