Job summary

The Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center at UCLA is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician I to support the Bruin Health Pharmacy. Under supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, you will assist the pharmacist with core functions and duties, while not performing acts requiring professional judgment.

Required CA Pharmacy Technician License; preferred PTCB certification. Excellent communication with students and staff, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are

• State and federal pharmacy regulations knowledge required.
• Ability to interact effectively with a diverse student/staff population.
• Professional communication and clear documentation.
• Ability to handle high volume of customer interactions and tasks.
• Proficient in written communication with proper grammar and syntax.
• Diplomatic interpersonal skills with colleagues and departments.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks with minimal direction.
• Familiarity with OTC, pharmaceutical names, abbreviations, and medical/insurance terminologies.
• HIPAA and FERPA compliance awareness.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
