Select Specialty Hospital - The Villages in Oxford, Florida is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Per Diem to support weekend, weekday and holiday shifts on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred qualifications: Current Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred unless required by the State.

Responsibilities

• Complete a variety of pharmacy tasks and services, including daily operations of the pharmacy within established policies.
• Work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and be able to work independently; not providing direct patient care.
• Pickup drug orders at nursing stations and prepare medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Deliver the appropriate quantities of medications to correct patient areas.
• Assist with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
• Maintain drugs per the Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, storing and paperwork.
• Monitor doses administered according to MAR on narcotics sign-out record.
• Maintain all forms and reports for control of narcotics and other controlled substances.
