Job summary

BAART Program is seeking a knowledgeable pharmacist to provide pharmacy services to patients, nurses, physicians, and staff by interpreting and evaluating orders and prescriptions. The per diem role emphasizes safe drug handling, inventory management, and adherence to regulatory standards within an outpatient clinic setting.

You will ensure safety, document activities, and train staff on medication administration while maintaining patient profiles and complying with HIPAA and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed Pharmacist in the state of assignment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or obtainable.
• Strong communication, documentation, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe handling of drugs to protect patient safety.
• Maintain policies and procedures for drug handling and distribution, updated annually.
• Lead inventory and methadone management.
• Document visits, activities, and irregularities.
• Provide training to facility staff on medication administration.
• Respond to emergencies and be available for facility visits.
• Participate in regulatory surveys or audits.
