Job summary

BAART Programs in Salt Lake City is seeking a per diem Pharmacist to ensure the safe handling of medications, maintain patient profiles, and support methadone program operations.

The role requires current Pharmacist license in Utah, CPR/First Aid, HIPAA expertise, and strong documentation/computer skills. You will collaborate within the medical hierarchy and respond to emergencies while upholding ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Pharmacist license in the state of assignment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
• Understanding of HIPAA and applicable standards.
• Knowledge of methadone-related medications and safety.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong documentation and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently within medical hierarchy and with diverse populations.
• Ability to supervise personnel and maintain patient profiles.
• Satisfactory drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Ensure drugs are handled safely to protect patients.
• Develop and update policies for drug handling and distribution annually.
• Maintain patient profiles and inventory including methadone.
• Dispense take-home medications to eligible patients.
• Conduct biennial inventory and regulatory audits.
• Provide training on medication administration and adverse reactions.
• Document visits and any irregularities.
• Visit facility as needed for emergencies.
• Maintain professional and ethical conduct in all activities.
• Support compliance with all regulations and standards.
