Health Pros Northwest seeks a licensed Pharmacist to cover a local Jail in Kent, WA. Day shift, per diem, providing patient-specific dispensing and counseling.

Responsibilities include verifying prescriptions, checking drug interactions, instructing inmates on dosing and side effects, and offering general health guidance. Must have WA license, 1 year experience, BLS CPR, TB/PPD clearance, and ability to pass drug screen; eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Washington Pharmacists license in good standing.
• At least 1 year of Pharmacy experience.
• Current BLS CPR certification.
• Current TB/PPD/Chest x-ray.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Dependable, timely, and great communicator.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Day Shift | PER DIEM

Job Duties:

• Fill prescriptions, verifying instructions from physicians on the proper amounts of medication to give to patients
• Check whether the prescription will interact negatively with other drugs that a patient is taking or any medical conditions the patient has
• Instruct patients on how and when to take a prescribed medicine and inform them about potential side effects they may experience from taking the medicine
• Advise patients about general health topics, such as diet, exercise, and managing stress, and on other issues, such as what equipment or supplies would be best to treat a health problem

Qualifications:

• Washington Pharmacists license, free of restrictions and previous discipline
• 1 year of Pharmacy experience
• Current BLS CPR
• Current TB/PPD/Chest x-ray
• Must be able to pass pre employment drug screen
