Job summary

MultiCare Health System, Inc. is seeking a per diem Pharmacist for Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital in Tacoma. The position is part-time with a 0.01 FTE and day shift (08:00–16:30).

You will dispense medications, interpret IV orders, and prepare IV solutions while supervising staff and ensuring safe pharmaceutical care. Required WA pharmacist license, eligibility for hospital/clinic settings, and current BLS. ASHP residency preferred; 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of ASHP accredited pharmacy residency preferred.
• Licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington.
• Minimum one year of pharmacy experience preferred in hospital/clinic/retail setting.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications to patients and interpret IV admixture orders.
• Prepare IV solutions and nonstandard pharmaceutical preparations as required.
• Supervise support personnel and perform final checks of completed work.
• Assist in inspection of pharmaceutical supplies on all services.
• Provide safe and accurate pharmaceutical care services to patients, nurses and physicians.
