Job summary

St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, NJ is seeking an experienced Staff RN for the perioperative (OR) team.

You will deliver direct and indirect patient care across neonates to older adults, coordinate with surgeons and anesthesiologists, and guide OR technicians while maintaining professional nursing standards. This role requires an active RN license in New Jersey, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, plus at least one year of perioperative experience or on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience or on the job training.
• CNOR Certification (AORN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and indirect patient care in the perioperative setting across age groups.
• Coordinate care with surgeons and anesthesiologists.
• Guide OR technicians and other personnel while maintaining nursing standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure continuous, quality patient care and efficient flow.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and in-services.
