Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a per diem Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team in Bellingham, WA. The ideal candidate is Board Certified with at least 2 years of post-training hospital experience.

We provide in-house 24/7 coverage at Whatcom County’s only community hospital (St. Joseph Medical Center, Level II Trauma) with shifts including day and night 12-hour blocks and night 9-hour blocks. EPIC EMR is used across the team, and malpractice insurance is fully paid.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house 24/7 coverage for Whatcom County's only community hospital (St. Joseph Medical Center).
• Care across Pediatric Unit, Newborn Nursery, Level II Special Care Nursery, delivery attendance, and ER support.
• Shifts include 12-hour day, 12-hour night, and 9-hour day blocks within a growing program.
• Collaborate with a collegial team focused on high-quality, evidence-based medicine.

Practice Highlights

• Pediatric Hospitalists provide in-house 24/7 coverage for Whatcom County's only community hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center (Level II Trauma)
• Scope of care includes Pediatric Unit, Newborn Nursery, Level II Special Care Nursery, delivery attendance, and ER support
• Growing program will include coverage with a second daytime hospitalists -shifts will include 12-hour day shifts, 12-hour night shifts, and 9-hour day shifts
• Physicians are experienced, collegial, supportive, and focused on high-quality, evidence-based medicine
• Robust primary care team, strong continuity of care from inpatient to outpatient
• EPIC EMR

Salary & Benefits

• Per Diem Hourly Rate: $132.71/hr.
