Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Earn $56.25-$57.25 per hour and choose your own schedule with 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts.

You decide how much you work—as little as one shift per month, with daily or weekly pay options. Requirements include Virginia RN license, 2 years PCU experience, BLS, ACLS, TB test, and vaccination or exemption.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments
