Valley Health invites a Hospitality Associate to join the Nutrition Services team in Winchester, VA. This per diem, first-shift role supports patients and staff by preparing and delivering nutritious meals, ensuring accuracy with diets, allergies, and room assignments.

You will work with RNs and CNAs, assist with plating, and help maintain strict sanitation standards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and prior food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience in food service or related training is preferred.
• Ability to interact hospitably and respectfully with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with hospital floor staff to ensure meals are provided to patients.
• Ensures patient information matches name, room, and diet; prepares meals according to diet cards.
• Delivers trays warm and garnished; assists with plating and storage as needed.
• Maintains sanitation, operates dishwashing area, and records temperatures.
• Assists with meal selection and communicates patient preferences and allergies.
• Performs duties with limited supervision and adheres to department policies.
