Job summary

Elliot Health System's Rehabilitation Services – Outpatient in Manchester NH is seeking a Per Diem Patient Service Representative for days/evenings. You will greet patients, register and schedule visits, and process referrals to therapy teams, acting as a friendly front desk contact.

You will verify insurance, collect payments, and help maintain therapists' schedules while guiding patients through policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain BLS Certification within first 90 days and maintain while in position.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming telephone calls, directs inquiries and takes messages.
• Receives and processes referrals from physician offices and manages referral tracking.
• Performs required insurance verification activity when appropriate.
• Obtains insurance information through department processes to ensure proper authorization requirements are fulfilled.
• Schedules appointments for therapy evaluations and visits based on established guidelines.
• Completes the registration process, explains applicable policies to patient and assists patients with paperwork.
• Collects payments and charges from the patient at time of service.
• Maintains therapists’ schedules, optimizing effective scheduling of appointments.
