NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a BSN‑level nurse for a per diem day shift (7:30am–8:00pm) at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. You will be responsible for processing throughput, triaging to service lines, and coordinating admissions with admitting teams and leadership.

Preferred candidates hold a master’s in nursing or a related field, have BCLS/ACLS, and demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Collaborates with admitting teams as well as departmental leadership to facilitate admission of patients. This includes the identification of the appropriate level of care for admission, the appropriate needs of the patients, and identification and facilitation of admission to the appropriate part of the medical service in consonance with this. Coordination of communication amongst the patient care team. This is a per diem day shift from 7:30am-8:00pm including some weekends and holidays (up to 13 shifts per month), located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

• Masters in nursing or related field, If Masters in Nursing, BSN can be preferred.
• Critical Care, ED or Progressive Care Experience.

Required Criteria

• BSN required
• BCLS/ACLS
• Masters in Nursing or related field.
• If Masters in Nursing, BSN can be preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience
• Current NYS RN Licensure
• Computer skills
• Demonstrated leadership and effective communications skills.
• Demonstrated strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of critical pathways, managed care and continuum of care.
• Demonstrate the ability to initiate, accept and adapt to change, flexible.
