Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a BSN‑level nurse for a per diem day shift (7:30am–8:00pm) at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. You will be responsible for processing throughput, triaging to service lines, and coordinating admissions with admitting teams and leadership.

Preferred candidates hold a master’s in nursing or a related field, have BCLS/ACLS, and demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• Masters in nursing or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process all throughput within Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
• Triages case to the appropriate service line attending.
• Collaborates with admitting teams and departmental leadership to facilitate patient admissions.
• Identify the appropriate level of care and placement for patients.
• Coordinate communication among the patient care team.
• Per diem day shift (7:30am–8:00pm), with some weekends and holidays.
