Atlantic Health in Pompton Plains, NJ seeks a compassionate healthcare aide to assist patients with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support mobility. Responsibilities include postmortem care and basic lab tasks under RN supervision. Requires HS diploma/GED and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patient, compassionate nature and ability to work in a team with physicians and nurses.
• Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, dressing).
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, and heights.
• Assist patients with mobility (ambulation, transfer, ROM) and discharges.
• Perform postmortem care.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring.
• Observe and report changes in patients' condition to the RN.
• Maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory.
