Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is recruiting Pathologists' Assistants to support the VA San Diego Healthcare System in San Diego, CA. The position is Per Diem, scheduled in advance in 4-hour blocks, with primary focus on autopsies and occasional grossing duties, and an exceptional Per Diem hourly rate.

The Pathologists' Assistant will assist in anatomic pathology, perform histochemical and immunohistochemical stains, and participate in education, QA, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a health sciences field.
• Graduated from NAACLS-accredited Pathologist's Assistant program and/or is a current AAPA Fellow.
• Current license/certification with AAPA, ASCP, or DoH.
• At least one year of Pathologists’ Assistant experience; VA experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assists in all aspects of anatomic pathology.
• Performs histochemical and immunohistochemical stains; interprets results; orders and implements equipment; supports teaching.
• Reviews regulatory criteria and ensures procedures align with regulations; prepares areas for inspection.
