Spindle is seeking a Classroom Hero Paraprofessional in New York on a per diem basis. You’ll step into classrooms as needed, supporting teachers and students with a flexible, on-call schedule.

You will assist with classroom activities, support diverse learners under IEP guidelines, and help with prep and organization while enjoying the freedom to choose shifts that fit your life.

Formación

• 48 college credits or an associates degree (or higher)
• Passing score on the ATAS (Assessment of Teaching Assistant Skills)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Jumping into classrooms to assist teachers and keep things running smoothly
• Supporting students one-on-one or in small groups
• Helping maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
• Assisting students with special needs and following IEP guidelines
• Pitching in with classroom prep, organization, and daily activities
• Bringing patience, adaptability, and maybe a little humor to each day

The Official New York State You're Qualified! Checklist

• At least 48 college credits, or
• An associates degree (or higher), or
• A passing score on the ATAS (Assessment of Teaching Assistant Skills)

Other Must-Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility and reliability (you choose your shifts, but when you commitwe count on you!)
• A positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed

Bonus Points If You

• Have experience working with children or in schools
• Are comfortable supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Speak multiple languages

Compensation for this position ranges from $19.00 to $31.00. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
