Job summary

The UCLA Center for Prehospital Care is seeking a Clinical Instructor to provide hands-on skills instruction for students in the UCLA Paramedic Education Program. Responsibilities include demonstrating and teaching clinical skills and equipment use, evaluating student performance, and supporting curriculum development.

This is a 25% per diem position with minimum two instructional shifts per month; scheduling includes evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• AHS BLS Provider is required or current certification in BLS for healthcare providers.
• CA Paramedic license or RN licensure required in CA.
• Minimum of 1 year EMS field or clinical EMS experience.
• Teaching experience preferred but not required.
• AHA CPR provider certification; ACLS and/or PALS instructor certifications preferred.
• NAEMT PHTLS instructor certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on skills instruction for UCLA Paramedic Education Program.
• Demonstrate and teach clinical skills and equipment use.
• Evaluate student performance and foster an engaging learning environment.
• Support curriculum development and learner assessment.
