Job summary

University of California - Los Angeles Health is seeking a Clinical Instructor for the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care on a 75% per diem basis in Los Angeles. Instructors provide demonstrations, skills instruction, and assessments in the UCLA Paramedic Education Program and must maintain licensure and up-to-date EMS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Current California licensure as a Paramedic or RN or the ability to obtain licensure in CA.
• Minimum of 1 year of field or clinical EMS experience.
• Ability to consistently work a minimum 2 weekdays per month.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and on a team.
• May be required to perform venipuncture, dermal punctures, and IV administration on training equipment.
• Available to meet scheduling requirements including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to foster a stimulating classroom environment.
• Strong collaboration with supervisors, staff, students, and the public.
• Capability to lift and handle equipment up to 125 pounds and perform related tasks.

• Act as a student advocate in the learning process.
• Create an active, engaging learning environment.
