Job summary

Englewood Health, a leading healthcare system in northern New Jersey, seeks a dedicated EMS professional to provide pre-hospital Advanced Life Support care and conduct rapid patient assessments. You will communicate with physicians, families, and team members, ensuring accurate reports while prioritizing care based on urgency and available resources.

Role requires NJ MICP certification, valid driver’s license, and AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current NJ MICP certification.
• Valid driver license with clean record.
• Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (CEVO or equivalent).
• AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• Hazardous Materials Training/Operations Level I.
• ICS Training per NJ EMS requirements, CEVO within 4 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital Advanced Life Support care as per policy and MICU regulations.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and deliver appropriate pre-hospital care.
• Communicate clearly with physicians, team, patients, and families; deliver accurate verbal reports.
• Prioritize and manage patient care based on urgency and safety, adhering to protocols.
• Demonstrate clinical competency, sound judgment and accountability; maintain certifications.
• Complete documentation, participate in training, quality improvement, and support team operations.
