Job summary

Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed facility offering emergency services, maternity, NICU, pediatric ICU, cardiovascular, surgical, women’s health, and oncology care. The role provides safe nursing care, professional leadership, and supervision within a patient-centered care framework.

Current Nevada RN license, BLS, ACLS/PALS/NRP as required, and pre-employment assessments are required. BSN preferred; acute care experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire. BSN preferred.
• One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
• The Nevada State Board of Nursing must grant an interim RN license.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
