Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)

A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults, and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility will provide a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family, and individual therapy.

Position Summary

The Outpatient Social Worker performs social services functions, including assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs, enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. Responsibilities include providing basic consultation, teaching, specialized clinical social work services for patients and families, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

Qualifications

Education: MSW only

License: LMSW or experienced LLMSW considered

Experience: 1-3 years in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and clinical assessment. A combination of education, licensure, experience, and/or internship hours may be considered.
