Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Senior Registered Nurse (RN) for the Outpatient Cardiac Imaging Office in Albany, NY. This per diem, part-time day shift role involves direct patient care in a busy outpatient cardiology setting at 2 Palisades Drive.

You will use the nursing process to diagnose and address patient needs, document in the EMR, and collaborate with providers to ensure safe, high-quality care. Strong clinical skills and patient education are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred or equivalent.
• Current, unencumbered NYS RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS).
• Minimum 6 months RN experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Brings patient to exam room, takes vital signs, and documents in EMR.
• Review and update medication list in EMR for provider review.
• Complete referrals and tracks patient compliance.
• Review prescriptions electronically and send to providers for review.
• Obtain patient consent for procedures as directed by the provider.
• Perform pre-visit planning and review quality metrics.
• Communicate with patients to explain medications and home care procedures.
