Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapist for an outpatient clinic in Manchester, CT. The OT will independently evaluate patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and supervise OT students and assistants while collaborating with the care team to maximize patient function.

The role emphasizes evaluation, goal setting, therapy delivery, patient education, and thorough documentation to support transitions in care and community referrals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a BS or entry-level MS.
• CT license active or temporary.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluation of patient’s level of function upon referral.
• Establish measurable goals with patient/family based on care protocols.
• Deliver and delegate patient care using therapeutic techniques to maximize daily living and productivity.
• Provide education to patient and caregiver regarding treatment and equipment use.
