Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT curriculum with a Bachelors or Masters degree with certification in occupational therapy or foreign-trained equivalent.
• CA OT license or license eligibility prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and interprets evaluation findings to determine dysfunction.
• Establishes treatment goals and plans treatment to achieve goals.
• Initiates discharge planning for occupational therapy.
• Implements the treatment program through direct patient care.
• May delegate portions of the treatment program to supportive personnel.
• Coordinates the treatment program with other health care personnel.
• Provides advice and education to patient and family.
• Assesses progress to determine effectiveness and modify goals.
• Discharges patient after maximum benefit.
• Documents patient management accurately and timely.
• Demonstrates progress toward meeting professional practice criteria.
