Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is recruiting a per diem Occupational Therapist (OT) to work at the Glens Falls Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Queensbury, NY. You will evaluate residents, design rehab plans, and help patients regain independence as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

The role supports clinicians with mentorship, flexible scheduling, and opportunities to work with state-of-the-art rehab facilities. Per diem arrangements welcome both seasoned and new graduates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
• Current New York State OT License

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents’ conditions and develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve residents’ pain using exercises, hands-on therapy and stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence and protect facility by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members and contributes to team effort.
