Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA seeks a Per diem Physician Assistant for the Orthopedic Trauma Surgery team at Baystate Medical Center. You will work alongside fellowship-trained surgeons and experienced APPs in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma Center environment.

This role covers high-acuity orthopedic trauma care across ED, Trauma, ICU, and inpatient floors, with opportunities to assist in operations as a first assistant and to participate in ongoing mentorship and professional development.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or certified Physician Assistant.
• 1 year of orthopedic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity orthopedic trauma care in the ED, Trauma Service, ICU and inpatient settings.
• Assist in operative care as a first assistant.
• Participate in the patient care continuum with mentorship and professional development.
