Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join the Level 1 Trauma Service at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. This full-time role involves caring for patients on the Trauma and Emergency General Surgery service, working with attendings, residents, PAs and NPs, and includes occasional OR time.

APPs are assigned their own patients once trained, with 13-hour shifts and rotating weekends, no overnights.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Physician Assistant with RNFA certification.
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with OR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients on the Trauma and Emergency General Surgery service alongside attendings, PAs and NPs.
• APPs are assigned their own patients once trained and may have occasional OR time.
• 13-hour shifts with rotating weekends; no overnight shifts.
