Job summary

UNC Health Medical Group in Lenoir, NC invites a Per Diem Orthopedic Surgeon to join our established team in Kinston. We seek a general orthopedic surgeon with Total Joint Fellowship training or substantial total joint replacement experience; on-site with Epic EHR.

The role features per diem hourly pay, paid malpractice, travel lodging, weekend coverage, and 24-hour call shifts. Candidates must be board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and hold NC Medical License.

Qualifications

• Board-certified orthopedic surgeon with NC licensure.
• Total Joint Fellowship or extensive total joint replacement experience.
• Active Rex Hospital Medical Staff membership and MD degree.
• DEA/ACLS/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic surgical care with emphasis on total joint procedures.
• Coordinate perioperative care and documentation in Epic EHR.
• Work per diem onsite in Kinston, NC with 24-hour call shifts (7am–7am).
• Support weekend coverage as needed.
