Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY, seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist I for per diem work with a minimum of 3 shifts per month. This flex shift role excludes weekends and supports a Magnet-recognized environment dedicated to high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include assisting surgeons and nurses, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring counts align with AORN standards. Requires OR tech program completion, NBSTSA certification, and orthopedic experience.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• NBSTSA Certification required and Heartsaver certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year of orthopedic experience.

Mansioni

• Assist physicians and nurses in surgery using sterile technique.
• Assemble, maintain and track surgical instruments and equipment.
• Perform pre-op, intra-op and post-op counts per AORN standards and maintain sterile field.
