Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of English in speaking, reading and writing.
• Demonstrates physical stamina and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient care and family support with safe, compassionate care.
• Ensures equipment and supplies are ready for the OR and unit.
• Maintains cleanliness of patient care areas and instrument rooms.
• Responds to requests from registered nurses and supports the care team.
• Completes delegated tasks and communicates with patients and families.
• Assists with admissions, transfers and discharge procedures as needed.
• Participates in unit meetings and staff orientation.
