Atlantic Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Per Diem Operating Room at the AHMMC Ambulatory Surgery Center in Rockaway, NJ. You will prepare patients for surgery, monitor hemodynamics, and communicate with the OR team to prevent delays.

Postoperative assessment and discharge education are required, with responsibilities including serving as Charge RN and leading staff. Requirements include NJ RN license, BLS, and 3+ years OR RN experience; ACLS/PALS preferred with 6-month after-start

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure: Current NJ RN license and BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred (must obtain within 6 months). CNOR preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years OR RN experience; ambulatory surgery experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for surgery and assess hemodynamics, labs, meds, and NPO status.
• Communicate with physicians and OR team to prevent delays.
• Provide postoperative discharge planning and education.
• Serve as Charge RN to optimize OR schedules and operations.
• Demonstrate leadership, documentation accuracy, and patient safety.
