Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 5 North Medical Oncology team in Port Huron, MI. This per diem role involves delivering high-quality nursing care using the nursing process, coordinating with the healthcare team and supporting patient/family centered care.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, planning and implementing care, intervening as needed, and evaluating outcomes. Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, a Michigan RN license, and BLS; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development.
