Job summary

Stamford Health Medical Group is offering an opportunity for a per diem Oncology Pharmacist. This role involves providing quality pharmaceutical care for patients at the Bennett Cancer Center.

Responsibilities include preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring safe therapeutic practices, and participating in patient education. The ideal candidate should have a B.S. in Pharmacy, preferably a Pharm.D., and at least one year of relevant experience.

Flexibility in scheduling is required to meet department needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in admixture of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biotherapies.
• Licensed or eligible for license as a Registered Pharmacist in Connecticut.
• Previous experience in an institutional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepares and dispenses medication orders per physician request.
• Participates in education for physicians and counseling sessions for patients.
• Monitors patient therapy in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Assures appropriateness of therapy and dose for all patient populations.
