Helen M. Simpson Rehabilitation Hospital, part of the UPMC West Shore network, is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a per diem role at our inpatient rehabilitation facility.

The role focuses on evaluating and treating individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multi-trauma, with responsibilities including developing and adjusting treatment plans, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifikationen

• Active state OT licensure or eligibility.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.

Aufgaben

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction.
• Delegates and directs all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional programs for community reintegration.
• Educates patients, families, students, coworkers and self on therapy concepts and progress.
• Performs other professional duties related to patient care and program delivery.
