Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for per diem/as-needed shifts (Mondays through Fridays). The OT will participate in discharge planning, educate patients and families, and oversee OTAs and OT/COTA students as part of a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment.
• Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs) and OT/COTA students.
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatment.
• Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.
