A critical illness recovery hospital in Gulfport, MS is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their team. Responsibilities include patient discharge planning, supervising assistants, and conducting therapy regimens. Candidates must hold a current state license as an Occupational Therapist and have BLS certification. This role provides opportunities for advancement and support for employee well-being.

Formación

• Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment.
• Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants (OTAs), as well as OT and COTA students.
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatment.
• Participate in continuing education seminars and in-services.
