Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within scope to restore function for clients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders. You will work as part of the interdisciplinary care team in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor or Master in Occupational Therapy and current Illinois licensure; BCLS certification is required,

Qualifications

• Requires Illinois licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• NBCOT certification preferred.
• BCLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides consultative and therapeutic services within scope of practice to restore function and prevent disability.
• Functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team and adheres to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Education

Bachelor or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy.

Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license.

Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.

National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred.
