Job summary

East Penn Manufacturing is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Nurse (RN) to join our on-site Medical Center on a per diem basis. This role provides clinical care, injury assessment, health education, and occupational health services in a manufacturing environment to support employee well-being and regulatory compliance.

This 2nd shift per diem position offers flexible scheduling, typically from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the on-site Medical Center during shift.
• Conduct physical assessments of injured or ill employees and determine appropriate actions.
• Coordinate treatment and referrals with physicians and outside providers.
• Maintain accurate medical records per company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor employee health concerns and educate on wellness initiatives.
• Stay current on OSHA, DOT, and health standards applicable to the workplace.
• Develop and update occupational health procedures and programs.
• Maintain awareness of workplace hazards and job-related health risks.
• Communicate health, safety, and wellness concerns to management and staff.
• Support injury prevention and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid when needed.
