Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York seeks a Per Diem Nursing Attendant-Centralized Nursing Service (23 Hours Per Month) to support patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will help with admissions, rounds, hygiene, meals, and safety to maintain a safe and compassionate patient environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or CNA program, BLS, and strong customer service skills; English proficiency expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant program or minimum 6 months relevant experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required, issued by AHA.

Responsibilities

• Assists with Admission/Transfer/Discharge, orients patient to hospital environment and safeguards belongings.
• Conducts patient rounds for toileting, comfort, safety and personal needs.
• Assists in preparing bedside units, meals, hygiene, and basic patient care tasks.
• Performs and assists with simple treatments and collects specimens as directed by RN.
• Reports changes to RN and maintains a safe, clean environment.
