Stony Brook University Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant I/II for Pre Surgical Admissions on a per diem schedule. Under RN supervision, you will assist with patient care, monitor vitals, help with daily living activities, and support treatment processes in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications include one year of patient care experience and NYS CNA license or approved CNA program; HS diploma or GED preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time patient care experience or equivalent under supervision.
• Possession or ability to acquire necessary knowledge, skills and abilities during the probationary period.
• HS Diploma or GED preferred or required for consideration.

Responsabilités

• Change dressings and apply basic wound care as directed.
• Take vitals: temperature, pulse, BP, respiration as required.
• Attend to daily living activities and assist with feeding.
• Maintain patient rights, dignity and confidentiality.
• Assist with housekeeping related to direct patient care to keep unit clean and safe.
• Chart and document care and/or behaviors as required.
