Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Nursing Administrative Supervisor to oversee quality nursing care across units during assigned shifts, ensuring alignment with the Michigan Nurse Practice Act and hospital standards.

The role leads nursing staff and ancillary departments, coordinates operations, staff development and maintains patient safety and privacy with a per diem schedule and variable daily hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved school of nursing.
• Licensed by State of Michigan.
• BCLS certified.
• ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• TNCC or ATCN within 18 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year as Charge Nurse.
• Minimum 3 years as Staff Registered Nurse.
• Excellent customer service skills and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs nursing staff including enforcement of hospital policies, providing educational support, corrective action, completing performance appraisals, tracking variances and staff adjusting pursuant to budget.
• Demonstrates professional practice skills in the delivery of patient care.
• Demonstrates a leadership role reflective of hospital nursing goals through written and oral communications with patients, visitors, co-workers, physicians and other health care members.
