Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a per diem role in Employee Health. The NP provides direct ambulatory care, performs histories and exams, coordinates care, and supports a safe work environment for BIDMC staff and affiliates. Required: Master’s in Nursing, MA NP license, BLS, and prescriptive authority.

Strong communication and teamwork with physicians, nurses, and HR staff are essential. Experience in a teaching hospital is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
• Nurse Practitioner license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Prescriptive authority issued by MA DPH-DCP and federal boards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs histories and physical examinations and develops care plans.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests and educates patients and families.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and HR staff to coordinate care.
• Document encounters clearly and timely.
