Job summary

Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for per diem/variable shifts.

You will prepare patients, administer prescribed radiopharmaceuticals, calibrate equipment, and perform quality control under physician direction. Minimum qualifications include Oregon Nuclear Medicine Technologist licensure or temporary, BLS certification, and NR/CNMT within 180 days; 2 years of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensure requirements must be met at hire.
• Oregon NM Technologist license or temporary licensure at hire.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• NR or CNMT certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs Nuclear Medicine examinations for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes under physician direction.
• Prepares patient and administers prescribed dose of radioactive and non-radioactive pharmaceuticals.
• Performs calculations and data manipulation according to established parameters.
• Calibrates equipment, performs quality control, monitors patients and assists with related duties.
