Job summary

Northwest Medical Center Sahuarita is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under physician supervision. You will prepare radiopharmaceuticals, operate gamma cameras and PET scanners, and ensure radiation safety while maintaining accurate records in EMR.

The role requires 0–2 years of experience, with preference for 2–4 years in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in nuclear medicine imaging techniques and procedures.
• Experience with radiopharmaceutical preparation and safety protocols.
• Strong knowledge of NRC/state/federal radiation protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures and therapies per physician orders.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals while following safety protocols.
• Operate and calibrate imaging equipment for quality control.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and regulatory records.
• Ensure radiation safety and proper handling/disposal of radioactive materials.
• Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and healthcare team.
