Job summary

Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, TX is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for Per Diem (PD/PRN) nights with variable hours. You will prepare radiopharmaceuticals, administer them, perform imaging studies (SPECT and planar scintigraphy), and operate cameras while adhering to strict radiation safety and quality control.

The ideal candidate holds a State Nuclear Medicine license (ARRT, CDPH or NMTCB), ARRT‑accredited, and has strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Current State Nuclear Medicine license required.
• One year acute radiology experience preferred.
• ARRT certification required.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for administration; measure and mix doses.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals via intravenous, oral, or inhalation routes.
• Perform imaging studies, including SPECT and planar scintigraphy.
• Operate imaging cameras and detectors to capture images.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure.
• Perform quality control checks and calibrations on equipment and radiopharmaceuticals.
